I am so excited to see "Writing Recipes on Prescription Slips" gain more converts every year. Dr Mike Roizen and I taught the first cooking and nutrition course in the U.S for med students in 2003, and in 2004 we had 5x as many sign-ups. So med students have a hunger for this knowledge.

Your chef's knife and your fork are as powerful as my prescription pad. Teaching doctors and patients to use them is powerful medicine...and it is truly fun.

I love the concept of Teaching Kitchens in hospitals. But let's take it one step further and have teaching kitchens on every Main Street in America (a la Jamie Oliver's idea)!! This recipe looks great. The true test will be to try it out on my kids. I also agree w/ Patricia regarding the sodium. I'd opt for light soy sauce in the recipe along with an MSG-free oyster sauce. Look forward to reading your other Healthy Kitchens posts.

Despite all of our pharmaceutical interventions, we can probably do more good for our health by sticking to the nine concepts that you mentioned. Kudos to Dr. Eisenberg and the CIA.
Was there any discussion about sodium and/or sugar? Sodium seems to be the latest enemy in dietary discussion and recently AHA made some recommendations about limiting sugars.
